Honey Bun Cake

I made a new cake that I have seen on several blogs.  That was a clue it is must be good.  Well that is an understatement, it was YUMMY.  I am actually trying to find an excuse to bake it again.

This is a perfect cake for a Sunday Brunch.

What you will need:

 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Yellow Cake Mix
¾ cups Vegetable Oil
4 whole Eggs
1 cup Sour Cream
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
2 cups Powdered Sugar
4 Tablespoons Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Preheat oven to 325º. Butter or spray a 13×9″ baking pan, set aside.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Stir by hand, about 50 strokes will do or until large lumps are gone. Pour half of your batter into prepared pan.

Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the batter. Spoon the other half of the batter over the cinnamon sugar. Using a knife, swirl so it looks like a honey bun.

Bake for about 40 minutes.  I poked holes in mine so the icing would drop down into the cake.

To make your frosting, just whisk powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the hot cake.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
